Sustainability Coordinator - Southern Tunnel Works

 

John Holland & CPB Contractors (JHCPB) has been selected to deliver Stage One of the Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) project, worth $750 million.

Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) - Stage One includes: construction of approximately 1.7 kilometres of twin three-lane tunnels between Rozelle and Birchgrove, in addition to tunnels for ventilation, ramps and other services.

This major piece of infrastructure will make it easier, faster and safer to get around Sydney. Alleviating the pressure off the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Anzac Bridge and Western Distributor routes upon completion.

 

The Project is looking for an experienced and motivated Sustainability Coordinator to join our Environment team based in our Rozelle Site Office.

Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Environment and Sustainability Manager, currently seeking a Sustainability Coordinator. Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Continuously seeking out sustainability related opportunities for improvement and innovations which create value for the project
  • Managing the collection, tracking and processing of sustainability data and evidence required for project reporting
  • Coordinate the project sustainability audit schedule and reporting requirements
  • Assist in preparing the project’s ISC submissions in collaboration with all team functions, including drafting and review of credit summary forms and knowledge share reports. Knowledge and experience with the ISC rating scheme a plus but not essential
  • Working with the environmental team to assist in monitoring and data collection and reporting

Requirements

 

To be successful in this role, you will be required to have:

 

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast paced project environment and deliver on deadlines
  • Positive aptitude and an analytical eye for materially relevant sustainability issues relevant to the civil infrastructure sector
  • Construction industry experience preferable (though not essential)
  • ISC Accredited Professional (desirable not essential)
  • Possess effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders
