We are now seeking a Training Advisor to support the development, coordination and delivery of learning programs for the Sydney Metro West – Linewide Project. In this role, you’ll partner with teams to uplift skills, streamline processes and help ensure our people have the knowledge and confidence to thrive.

About the Project

Sydney Metro West is a transformational 24 km underground railway connecting Sydney CBD to Parramatta, with stations at Westmead, Parramatta, Sydney Olympic Park, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock, The Bays, Pyrmont and Hunter Street.


The Linewide package connects the entire system, delivering the critical rail infrastructure and technology that bring the metro network to life.
Project offices are located across several Sydney locations including the CBD, Clyde, Rosehill, The Bays and Burwood North.

About the Role

As the Training Advisor, you will provide vital support across the full spectrum of learning and development activities — from induction and soft skills training to onboarding, professional development programs and systems capability uplift.
Working closely with the project team and subject matter experts, you’ll help deliver high quality learning solutions, support organisational initiatives and ensure our training systems and processes run smoothly and efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities
•    Provide advisory support to the team on the Project training matrix, training needs, capability development and organisational effectiveness
•    Support the end to end delivery of learning and development programs across Linewide
•    Develop, coordinate and refine training content, materials and guidelines in partnership with subject matter experts
•    Assist in workforce learning planning activities and contribute to capability development strategies 
•    Support process improvements across learning systems, programs and workflows to enhance overall efficiency and quality
•    Facilitate training sessions, inductions, presentations and workshops as required
•    Administer and monitor online performance and development systems, ensuring data accuracy and recommending development opportunities
•    Build strong relationships across internal teams and external training partners to ensure seamless learning delivery
•    Support key programs including onboarding, competency development, and the Rail TAO process for Linewide 

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education/Training, Organisational Development or a related field 
•    Additional qualifications in learning style assessments or psychometric tools 

 

Experience & Skills
•    Experience in Learning & Development, Organisational Development or HR advisory roles
•    Experience coordinating L&D on construction projects
•    Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
•    Ability to deliver, facilitate and support training initiatives across diverse teams
•    Understanding of HR systems, development planning tools and performance management processes
•    High level of professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail
•    Excellent communication, team player and system focussed
