About the project

Are you ready to play a key role in delivering one of Sydney’s most transformative infrastructure projects? Sydney Metro West is a 24 kilometre underground railway connecting the Sydney and Parramatta CBDs, with stations at Westmead, Parramatta, Sydney Olympic Park, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock, The Bays Precinct, Pyrmont, and Hunter Street in the Sydney CBD.


The Linewide project is the backbone of the Sydney Metro West, seamlessly connecting all its elements and delivering the critical rail infrastructure and systems needed for metro train operations.

Project Locations

Project and site offices are located in Sydney CBD, Clyde, Rosehill, The Bays, and Burwood North, providing a variety of working environments across the project footprint. 

Are you up for the challenge?

As a Training Coordinator, you will be coordinating and supporting learning and development duties, ensuring that enquiries and logistics regarding training programs, initiatives and systems are maintained and delivered consistently across the project. 

 

Key responsibilities

•    Plan, schedule and coordinate training event logistics including booking, catering, venue and attendee bookings¬, assessment and evaluation 
•    Manage the accurate upkeep of employee training records and employee information on the Learning Management System (LMS), whilst maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity
•    Support the onboarding of all staff, workforce and subcontractors into the Project induction, ensuring smooth onboarding onto the 3DS system applying the correct level of site access based on completed training
•    Provide efficient, customer-focussed administrative support including data entry, coordination and processing of invoices, and general administrative support
•    Prepare training materials and assist to set-up the training room as required by facilitators and participants 
•    Assist with the administration of the online performance management and development planning system to ensure quality of data and recommend appropriate development activities to employees and managers
•    Generate reports from various databases, which may include information on training and development and performance management, and make recommendations to employees and managers
•    Support the Project team to improve user understanding and utilisation of systems
•    Provide support regarding people capability queries (induction, onboarding, offboarding, performance management and development planning)
•    Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems and procedures

What we are looking for

Qualifications

  • Higher School Certificate (HSC)
  • Certificate II, III or IV in Business Administration (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education/Training, or a related field (preferred)

 

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in Learning & Development or Human Resources (advantageous)
  • Understanding of Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements
  • Familiarity with document management processes and systems for accurate record keeping
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete routine administrative tasks efficiently
  • Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
