Workforce Development & Social Procurement Advisor - MTMS

We are currently looking for a Workforce Development & Social Procurement Advisor to join our team on MTMS. As Workforce Development & Social Procurement Advisor you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery and implementation of MTMS’ Workforce Development & Social Procurement strategy across the project to provide socially sustainable and meaningful outcomes for the communities in which we work, live and serve. 


Responsibilities of the role include;
­- Oversee and deliver the Workforce Development & Social Procurement Strategy on MTMS;
­- Actively promote and source Workforce Development & Social Procurement initiatives
­- Work closely with subcontractors, training organisations, schools, communities, social enterprises and Aboriginal businesses;
­- Assist in promoting and delivering strategies to improve diversity and inclusion across the Next Rail Project; including implementing Pre employment programs, targeted recruitment campaigns, mentoring and coaching programs, inclusive procurement strategies and organising graduate and work placement programs
­- Liaise and work closely with schools, universities and community organisations to identify opportunities to collaborate to create positive sustainable social outcomes
- Co-ordinate events and celebrations of cultural significance including NAIDOC week and National Reconciliation Week.
­­­- Proactively identify opportunities to maximise positive social outcomes which support the WFD strategy on MTMS
­- Liaise and partner with the Southern IDE to maximise areas of opportunity and provide support
­- Support the inclusion and awareness of  local, ANZ and small to medium enterprises;

To be successful in this key role, you must have;
- ­Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Education, Social Sciences and Humanitarian studies or equivalent
­- 3-5 years in a similar role on a construction project (preferably rail)
­- Experience delivering Social Procurement and Workforce Development programs
­- Experience working within a high paced environment with exposure to confidential and sensitive information
