About the Project - New Toowoomba Hospital:
John Holland is proudly partnering with the Queensland Government to deliver the new Toowoomba Hospital – a key pillar of the Queensland Health and Hospitals Plan.
The project will deliver new hospital facilities on the 75-hectare Baillie Henderson Hospital campus, adding capacity to the existing Toowoomba Base Hospital. The new state-of-the-art Toowoomba Hospital will also deliver expanded healthcare services to the Darling Downs region to cater to its growing population and reduce the need for people to travel outside the region for specialist care.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The Planner will play a critical role by undertaking the process of planning, creating detailed programmes and monitoring performance to deliver the best quality projects on time and on budget.
- Implementation, monitoring and recording of Project Controls processes and systems focusing on time, cost, resources and quality
- Interface with project teams and internal and external stakeholders for management of the planning function
- Support Project Managers in report interpretation analysis of project performance, forward planning and development of corrective actions to maximize project delivery outcomes
- Early identification and communication of issues and opportunities to the project teams
- Proactively lead a planning and controls culture across the project
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines - Engineering, Construction, Building, Sciences, Architecture or Project Management, or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in a project controls role
- 1-3 years' experience working as a Site Engineer
- Use of planning software and tools such as Primavera Project Planning, Earned Value and Cash Flow Analysis
- Ability to use software such as 4D Modelling, BIM and other digital engineering packages, Schedule Risk Analysis, Program Forensic Analysis, Time Chainage Charts
