Title:  .NET Developer

About the Role

We're looking for a .NET Developer to join our Software Development team, supporting the design, enhancement and maintenance of custom-built applications used across John Holland. Working within an Agile environment, you'll collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners and fellow developers to deliver solutions that improve how our business operates. This is an opportunity to contribute to both established enterprise systems and emerging AI-driven initiatives, including proof-of-concepts, AI models and intelligent agents. This is a 12-month parental leave opportunity. 

What you will do

• Develop, enhance and maintain .NET applications and services
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to deliver business requirements
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to development standards
• Design and implement automated testing to support high-quality software delivery
• Explore and develop innovative solutions, including AI-based applications and prototypes

What we are looking for

• Strong .NET development experience, including C# and Web APIs
• Experience working within Agile software development teams
• Knowledge of Microsoft development technologies and tools
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate root causes and deliver solutions
• Ability to build effective relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Interest in emerging technologies, AI solutions and continuous learning
