Partnering with Sydney Water, Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) supports the design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services as part of a long-term program of works.

What we are looking for

We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our Operations & Maintenance team based in Daceyville covering the Sydney Metro region.

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater assets.

Working within a safety-first environment, you will help ensure critical infrastructure is maintained to the highest operational standards.

What you'll be doing

As part of the Operations Maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:

Safely undertaking all work in accordance with D4C and Sydney Water safety, environmental and compliance requirements.
Performing preventative and planned maintenance activities on plant and equipment.
Responding to equipment faults and breakdowns.
Conducting inspections and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Carrying out fault finding, diagnostics and rectification works.
Maintaining accurate maintenance and service records.
Installing, testing and commissioning new equipment.
Supporting general day-to-day maintenance activities across the network.

UV treatment equipment
Cathodic protection systems
Chemical dosing equipment
Wastewater and water pumping stations
Low pressure and vacuum systems
Mixers, blowers, gearboxes, skimmers, actuators and valves
Generators and outage support equipment
Wastewater treatment plant infrastructure

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Requirements

Current Electrical Licence
Australian recognised electrical trade qualification
Current Australian Driver Licence
Strong commitment to safety
Ability to perform physically demanding work

Desirable Skills & Experience

Practical and theoretical knowledge of SCADA systems
Experience with pumps, electric motors and associated equipment
Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and compliance requirements
Instrumentation qualifications or experience will be highly regarded
Experience within water, utilities, industrial or maintenance environments

What we offer

Permanent full-time position
Day shift roster (Monday to Friday) with a 7:00am start
Competitive hourly rate of $51.72 per hour
Electrical licence allowance of $69.49 per week
Additional site and industry allowances

Overtime opportunities available
Rostered afternoon shift rotation (1 week in every 8 weeks)
Afternoon shift loading of 15%
On-call standby allowance of $111 per day
