The Project:
The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to lead people outcomes across the T2D project.
Partnering with Project Leaders, Alliance Partners and Corporate stakeholders, you will provide expert workforce advice and lead initiatives that strengthen capability, performance, engagement and culture.
As a senior member of the People team, you will drive workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, remuneration, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing, and organisational development, while ensuring compliance with legislative and industrial obligations.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders to deliver strategic and operational HR solutions that support project outcomes.
- Provide expert advice across salaried and wages workforces, including Enterprise Agreements, employment contracts, and employeerelations matters.
- Lead workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, performance management, and organisational development initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, and culture programs.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Support remuneration reviews, salary benchmarking, and reward recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with Alliance partners and corporate stakeholders to align people strategies with business needs.
- Use workforce data and insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives from design through to implementation.
- Coach and develop HR team members, building capability across the function.
- Ensure compliance with legislative, industrial, and organisational requirements.
About You:
- Extensive experience in a Senior HR Business Partner or Senior People Advisor or equivalent role.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations and Enterprise Agreements.
- Experience supporting large-scale projects, infrastructure, construction, engineering or operational workforces.
- Proven ability to influence, challenge, and partner with senior leaders.
- Commercially minded, pragmatic, and solutions-focused.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills.
