The Project:

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

 

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role:

The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting monthly client claims, audit processes, and financial reporting activities. This role ensures the accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial documentation while also contributing to process improvements and the development of innovative tools, including AI-based auditing systems.
 
The position works closely with internal teams, clients, and auditors to maintain high standards of financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the preparation and validation of monthly client claims, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contractual requirements
  • Gather, review, and organise supporting documentation (e.g. invoices, timesheets) to substantiate claims and financial records
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and assist in responding to client queries
  • Provide audit support by compiling documentation, reconciling financial records, and ensuring compliance with audit standards
  • Assist in managing auditor requests by preparing responses, supplying evidence, and tracking audit progress and outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of an AI auditing tool by organising datasets, testing outputs, and providing feedback for system improvements
  • Collaborate with developers and support team training to ensure effective adoption of AI tools and documented workflows
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, proactively identify issues or process improvements, and provide general administrative and technical support to the team

About You:

  • Solid understanding of financial processes, including claims preparation, invoicing, reconciliation, and contract interpretation
  • Experience supporting audits, with knowledge of audit standards and the ability to prepare documentation and respond to auditor queries
  • Strong data management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle large datasets and manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency in financial systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with experience working across departments and contributing to shared outcomes
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify discrepancies and drive process improvements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification, including but not limited to finance, commerce, or business
  • 1-3 years’ experience in financial reporting, audit support, or claims-related roles, ideally within construction or infrastructure environments
