The Project

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.

The role

Are you an experienced project engineer with a background in tunnel boring machine (TBM) operations?

We’re seeking a Project Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering one of the most complex tunnelling projects in the southern hemisphere.

Your key responsibilities will include:

*Coordinate TBM tunnelling works including planning, scheduling, and execution.
*Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring safety, quality, and program requirements are met.
*Interface with design, construction, and logistics teams to ensure seamless TBM operations.
*Report on project progress, costs, and risks.
*Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support across the site team.
*Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety, and project-specific standards.

About you

*Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
*3+ years of experience in major tunneling projects, with a strong focus on TBM works.
*Proven experience in delivering underground infrastructure to program and budget.
*Strong understanding of geotechnical conditions, segmental lining, and tunneling logistics.
*Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
*Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
