The Project
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.
The role
Working as part of the Construction delivery team this role will coordinate, review and endorse workzone traffic management plans (WTMP’s) as per DIT master specifications. This role will be based on site reporting to a Senior Project Engineer.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the implementation of traffic management works is carried out within specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards
- Conduct and administer job planning and programming with minimal disruption to the surrounding road network for works that may include short range and intermediate activities
- Undertake minor adjustments on site and monitor these recommended changes to the traffic management plans to increase the ease and convenience of required works
- Exercise professional judgement in resolving traffic management issues, i.e. local council, local residents, road users, etc.
- Develop traffic management plans for all project work phases ensuring the plans are in accordance with the relevant Acts, Standards and Guidelines
- Implement and communicate risk controls and actions involved in the delivery and implementation of the works to be undertaken from a traffic prospective
- Delivery of temporary and permanent signage and pavement marking packages.
- Tracking and forecasting costs
About you
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Experience on tier 1 projects excess of $100M
- Work zone traffic management qualifications or ability to obtain them.
- Keen to learn and upskill within the project’s duration, seeking career progression to step up into Project engineering role.
- Knowledge of WZTM and AGTTM
- Experience booking traffic management crews
- Submission of DIT Roadworks Permits
- Read and interpret Traffic Guidance Schemes
- High level understanding of construction methodologies and logistics within temporary traffic management space.
