About The Project
The Beveridge Intermodal project is a landmark freight and logistics development in Victoria, set to play a critical role in Australia’s national supply chain. Located in Melbourne’s north, this large-scale infrastructure project will deliver an integrated intermodal terminal, connecting road and rail to improve freight efficiency, reduce congestion, and support future economic growth.
Delivered within a complex stakeholder environment, the project brings together government, logistics operators, and delivery partners to create a nationally significant freight hub.
About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join the Beveridge Intermodal project team.
This is a pivotal role responsible for leading project communications and supporting stakeholder engagement across a high-profile infrastructure project. You’ll drive clear, consistent messaging, enhance project reputation, and support the project team to effectively communicate with internal and external audiences.
Working closely with leadership, you’ll play a key part in managing project narratives, enabling stakeholder alignment, and supporting successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the project’s communications strategy
- Create clear, engaging communications materials including reports, briefings, and updates
- Support stakeholder engagement initiatives in collaboration with internal teams
- Provide communications advice to project leadership and functional teams
- Manage internal communications to ensure alignment across a complex project environment
- Monitor media and stakeholder sentiment, identifying risks and opportunities
- Support issues and crisis communications with timely and accurate messaging
- Ensure consistency and quality across all project communications channels
What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in communications within infrastructure, construction, or major projects
- Strong ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling messaging
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced project environments
- Strong stakeholder awareness and ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, or similar (desirable)
