About The Role

­

This role will support the process of implementing and maintaining Project Controls systems and processes including Earned Value Management, Cost Control, Risk Management and Planning to deliver the best quality projects on time and on budget in accordance with John Holland procedures. 

 

This involves supporting the Infrastructure Project Controls team by providing effective Project Controls advice and guidance across all our projects in the functions. This may involve spending short time periods embedded in a project.

 

  • Support the implementation and set up of Project Controls systems and processes in accordance with John Holland policies and procedures
  • ­Ensure Project Controls activities are conducted in accordance with John Holland policies and procedures. 
  • ­Interface with project team, partners, clients, stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors, subcontractors for management of the Project Controls function in accordance with established procedures.
  • ­Proactively participate and promote a Project Controls culture across the project based on best practice and with a focus on risk management, cost control and SQE.
  • ­Interpretation and interrogation of project controls information and explanation to project teams.
  • Deliver guidance and training where required.
  • ­Support the team in the preparation of monthly reporting across the various Projects Controls disciplines.
  • ­Early identification and communication of issues and opportunities to the Projects team.
  • ­People interaction: collaboration, consultation and cooperation with project staff in order to coordinate information flow for the performance of the project control’s function.
  • ­Support the National Infrastructure Project Controls manager in implementing Earned Value management processes across projects lifecycle. 

You Will Need

 

  • Tertiary degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines - Engineering, Construction, Building, Sciences, Architecture or Project Management, or equivalent experience
  • ­Career interest in Project Management, Project Controls and Planning
  • ­Extensive experience working in projects preferably as a Project Controls Engineer / Site Engineer, Cost Controller or general experience in undertaking construction projects
  • ­Use of Project Controls software & tools such as ControlPro, EcoSys, PRISM G2 or similar, Primavera Project Planning, Microsoft Excel
  • ­Experience in a Project Controls role
