About the Project
John Holland have been awarded to deliver the Parramatta light rail stage 2 project, the first part of this $322 million contract consists of the construction of the first 1.3km of new light rail alignment, including a 320m bridge over the Parramatta River. Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 will connect Stage 1 and the Parramatta CBD to Sydney Olympic Park via Camellia, Rydalmere, Ermington, Melrose Park and Wentworth Point.
About The Role
In this fast-paced role, you will be managing and maintaining project records, processing invoices, collaborating with engineers and project managers, and building strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Manage project records accurately and efficiently.
- Create purchase orders and change orders.
- Liaise with engineers and project managers on purchase orders and approvals.
- Develop effective relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Process a high volume of supplier invoices within strict deadlines.
- Resolve invoice queries promptly.
- Chase approvals and cost codes for purchases.
- Organise monthly reports and maintain vendor/supplier database
To be successful you will need to have:
- Strong time management skills with ability to juggle competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong literacy/numeracy skills,
- Accurate and analytical with attention to detail.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of cashflow and accounts payable processes.
- Previous experience in the water engineering and construction industry will be highly regarded.
